BloggerCon Report - I have to say I've been to a lot of industry conferences in my day, but this un-conference won hands down in the fun department due to the rock and roll attitude. I haven't seen this much enthusiasm on the web in a long time. My favorite sidekick for such things, Karen (a writer at Google and another boom and bust vet), and I had the good fortune of meeting up with Dawn and Drew in the parking lot on our way in. This was either a good omen or some post-modern media spell cast on the day. They are delightful and really filled with buckets of talent and of course - attitude.

Dave Winer is a cantankerous guy who works year round to make the conference happen -promoting the tools and religion for mostly the right reasons. I respect that he sees the community piece as well as the channel to making a living - which was nicely layed out in Doc Searls session on Making Money. Doc is the author of The Cluetrain Manifesto - a refreshing look at our markets, if you haven't come across it yet.

The focus (or my interest) with this BloggerCon certainly seemed to be towards the meteoric rise of interest in Podcasting, and there was no better spokesperson for it than the tripped out, media mad, open-source proponent and Chief instigator Adam Curry.

Watch what comes of this, I think it will be a fun ride.
