From the voting frontlines! This just in from the real deal in Atlanta.

I am literally going to need my own home defibrillator to get through this night.

By the way, wear sunglasses when you vote because you're going to need them if you lose it like I did. I was okay walking in....went by beautiful 1920s million-dollar-plus mansions with Kerry signs everywhere...these are people who would benefit immensely from a Bush presidency but here they are with Kerry. I didn't cry when I saw the line coming out of the front door with old people with canes, high school seniors, executives, dads with their sons and daughters. I didn't cry when I saw 4 young black men (maybe 19 years old) roll out of their Impala in perfect unison and walk towards the booth. (I would have put my fist in the air and yelled "mosh" but, even as a out-of-it middle class white woman, I can still be humiliated)

And I didn't even cry when I pushed the button for Kerry...my hand shook a little...I was remembering walking in the cold for Dean in Iowa and writing letters to New Hampshire and running a "Kids for Kerry" lemonade stand with my children and watching Kerry at the convention...but I still held it together. But then I turned around and saw 15 young boy scouts in full dress uniform with their scout leader to watch him vote & I lost it....I just lost it. I will never forget this election and I will never forget the purity of this vote.

I don’t want to be too over the top here but what a day!
