Making a Leap
I'm nuts for David Allen's approach to Getting Things Done. I worked with him on a software project years ago and was priveledged to go through a few direct training sessions with him. I've been using his method for close to 10 years now. WOW. A great Zen approach to the tasks in life - clearing the way for things you really want to do.
David has this category for organizing your "stuff" that he calls someday/maybe. The idea is that this is important enough not to lose, but I "just can't right now". When something moves from being someday/maybe to a project and then a reality is kind of sublime. It really did matter enough!
That happened in the last several weeks.
I launched the Podcast for a radio show I've been contemplating since I first tried out the concept on KKCR on Kauai. It's called Be My Guest. The premise is I find one of my endlessly interesting friends ;-) and spend an hour or so going through the 5 songs that impacted who they have become. It's really fun and I look forward to doing more as I now have a mobile radio studio.
I've edited the prototype shows, first with Rock Chick Pearl Harbour and Music Scene Type Steve Smith.
Let me know what you think. I'm having a blast.
You can subscribe to a podcast via this feed: http://www.alohadude.net/feed/rss2/ if you are using a podcast aggregator available at ipodder.org (the shows feed directly into your mp3 player!) - or you can just listen to the individual shows by clicking on the 'pod' icon on your computer.
