Minneapolis and Oldenburg

I'm in Minneapolis on business. The last time I was here there was an ice storm and I was in an unfortunate hotel with only TGI Friday's for dining. This time it's springtime and I got in a very long walk last night. I got to enjoy the architecture of the Walker Art Center and their sculpture garden where I stumbled onto this spectacular Claes Oldenburg & Coosje van Bruggen sculpture Spoonbridge and Cherry. There is a vibrant uptown and downtown with people on the streets, shops, music and art. I can't wait to come back.

Sounds like your timing was perfect. Now Spoonbridge is getting an overhaul. Check out these (kinda shocking) photos of the rehab work: http://blogs.walkerart.org/ecp/?author=18
